Directorships at UMFM are renewed annually. Applicants must
be passionate about the role of campus and community radio,
and available to attend bi-weekly meetings during the school
year. Minimum time commitment ½ day a week. Campus
and community members are encouraged to apply. No attachments,

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Volunteer Co-ordinator is an HR and administrative position
requiring excellent people skills. The successful applicant
will provide the first point-of-contact for the station, receiving
applications and streaming volunteers down their path of interest.
You will lead volunteer orientations, arrange technical training
sessions, and head-hunt for departments requiring additional
volunteer power.

PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
The Production Coordinator is both artistic, and technically
proficient. Knowledge of music, sound-art and creative writing
is useful for the creation of top-quality pieces. They will
mentor new producers, conduct regular production workshops,
and ensure that projects are completed in a timely fashion.

MUSIC DIRECTOR
The Music Director is responsible for maintaining the tasteful
musical diversity of UMFM, working with the Program Director
and Station Manager to guide the sound of the station. You
must demonstrate a broad and non-partisan college-based musical
background, have strong organizational skills, and the ability
to lead a diverse and dynamic music department.

PROMOTIONS/PUBLICATIONS
Working with an outside consultant on the initial design
and layout, you will oversee the publication of the UMFM program
guide, and printed promotional materials. You have experience
in arts reporting, a passion for C & C radio, and a flair
for layout and design.

NEW MEDIA DIRECTOR
The New Media Director combines the technical ability to
update our website with the artistic vision to do so with
flair and creativity. You provide the leadership and initiative
to keep the site content dynamic and entertaining. The New
Media director works closely with promotions, sales, and programming.

PROMOTIONS/MERCHANDISING
You will be responsible for selecting, promoting and distributing
an inventory of UMFM promotional merchandise to our volunteers
and listeners.

SALES MANAGER
The successful manager understands the unique opportunity
that Campus and Community offers. You work with existing and
prospective clients, meeting their advertising needs through
the effective creation and placement of their campaigns. Achievable
sales goals with commission structure.

PROMOTIONS/CAMPUS
You will be representing the station at U of M events on
campus, and ensuring the distribution of our flyers, posters
and program guides.
|
TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
The Technical Coordinator has an affinity for all aspects
of computer, broadcast, and sound system engineering. Any
future Technical Director must undertake a period of apprenticeship
with the current Director, to ensure Station continuity.

PROMOTIONS/COMMUNITY
You will be bringing UMFM to the community, ensuring distribution
of charts, flyers, posters and program guides, and ensuring
representation of UMFM at station-sponsored events and functions.

NEWS DIRECTOR
The News Director has well-developed broadcast writing and
delivery skills, plus an awareness of issues being covered
by independent media. You will serve as assignment editor
for the Campus Beat news staffers and co-ordinate special
events coverage.

PROMOTIONS/GRAPHICS
Working with all departments, you will be developing visual
imaging for UMFM, including posters, flyers, charts, brochures
and special projects.
